Meteor Galleries 3rd Birthday!
Meteor Galleries was born in 2007 of a specific need, and it has been designed and developed to meet that need with the assistance of some of MG's good friends. We've listened to suggestions and done our best to implement them and then some. But, there's always work to be done, something that needs to be improved, or a new need arises that needs to be addressed. We work hard to improve, fix, and update Meteor Galleries as often as possible. MG is updated at least once a year, sometimes more often, but generally once a year. It is a large project which requires time, patience, and lots of testing. Please keep all of these things in mind if you decide to try it out, and please do feel free to send suggestions, requests, etc. We will always listen (even if we think you're crazy)!

This September, MG celebrates it's 3rd birthday, so we're doing something we never planned to do--offer hosted galleries (software maintained & supported by MG's developer) to anyone who is interested & willing to pay just $24 a year. If you'd like to learn more, please contact us for details.

Why use Meteor Galleries? Oh there are lots of reasons... but here's a few:

Control Freak? So are we.	If you've ever wanted total control over your artwork gallery site, the ability to do more in less time, still have all the details displayed, AND not have your site look like it was stamped with a cookie cutter, Meteor Galleries has you covered!
Who said anything about limits?	Everything these days has limitations, but why settle for strict limits when you don't have to? MG raises the bar a bit when it comes to limits--have as many images as you want, as many sketch images as you want, arrange everything on the page just how you want it, and do it all in a few clicks. Seriously, why would you use anything else?
Don't let it all hang out	Unless you really want to =P. Only have one (or maybe two) levels of access to your stuff? Sick of having to show off what you paid for your artwork just to show your close friends some 'hidden' pieces? No more! Allow only who you want to see your stuff AND keep your private information... well.. private. That's a no-brainer, right? We thought so, too.
Use Protection	Annoyed with fly-by-night image theives who right-click and run? Not with MG! At least with MG's image-splitter, they have to do a little work for their reward. And bonus: It also defends against image hotlinking!
Got Batch?	Ever wish there was a faster way to get images to your gallery so you could go back and add the details later? Well, there is. Batch upload items AND sketch images. MG's batch upload processes make hours of work take just minutes. Or seconds. Really, we didn't time it, but it's fast.
Screenshots, ho!	Do you enjoy posting screenshots of your cels or artwork, so others can see just where your art was used in production? Wish it could be separate from other additional images? MG lets you have screenshots along with as many sketch or other images as you like with every item!
For once, it's good to be a show-off!	Do you post your updates on forums? Does it get kinda obnoxious having to add all those links to your new stuff? Well forget that! With MG's Last Added page, you can post one link and your entire update is at your visitor's fingertips!
History is good	If you enjoy seeing your own update patterns and habits, MG's past updates page might just be what you need (or it might just scare you.. we aren't responsible for any doctor bills that arise from your reaction to your own habits!). It lets you and your visitors see all of your past updates in one convenient place. Now with more organization--version 3.0 organizes your past updates by year.
Keep it in the closet!	Hide items, hide sections/series, AND hide entire categories - with MG, hide what you want and show what you want, but don't compromise. Hide anything at ANY level with just a few clicks. Want to keep a section hidden while you work on it? Huzzah! Now you can, and it won't take 5 hours to do it, either.
Down for maintenance	Don't want others watching you update? Then don't let them. You can enable maintenance mode while you work, and turn it off when you're ready to show your update.
Be a neat freak!	Do you wish you could organize your stuff in sections that make more sense? Hate just having a single level of organization? Do you think messy people suck? =P Oops, nevermind. But seriously, with MG, you can have two levels of categories, and you can sort them any way that you like. Even if that way makes no sense to anyone but you! How easy is it to sort, you ask? If you can count, you can sort your stuff with MG's position ID number system.
Got spam? We don't.	If you've hosted your gallery just about anywhere, you probably have found out how horrible spammers can be, even with some basic protection like a contact form in place. MG's anti-spam measures have held up against bots thus far with a little ingenuity. (We guess bots don't understand english =P).
Your wishlist, your way!	Remember wanting every toy you saw when you were a kid? Remember making that Christmas list? Well, make yourself a wishlist of production artwork that's as long as your imagination will allow. You can sort it, too!
Fix or repair daily? Heck no.	Want gallery software that actually gets fixed at least once a year, sometimes more often? Then get Meteor Galleries. We'll even let you pay us to make customizations just for you.

Meteor Galleries is FREE software, however it IS copyrighted, and we expect that copyright to be honored. Please read the terms in the license agreement before you install the software! Donations to the project will get you support for your version of the program. (Minimum donation is $24)
