Welcome to Meteor Galleries!

Meteor Galleries is a an animation artwork gallery web application project.

Meteor Galleries is intended for use by those who collect Japanese animation artwork -- but other collectors may also want to use it. It is designed to be as user-friendly as possible, while allowing more freedom than the traditional choices for maintaining a gallery web site.

As many of my fellow collectors may well know, maintaining one's own gallery on a regular web site can be a rather daunting task. Updates are often extremely time-consuming and tedious, as thumbnail creation and HTML page writing takes a lot of time when you're adding a lot of artwork. Meteor Galleries seeks to simplify all of that, while allowing you to remain on your own web hosting with far more control over the look of your own site.

05.11.2011: Meteor Galleries version 3.5 nearly complete!

The next version of Meteor Galleries is almost finished! This version, largely due to the long list of changes and improvements has taken longer to develop than previous updates--I'm almost tempted to bump it up to v4, rather than 3.5. The new Meteor Galleries is going to be an obsessive organizer's DREAM COME TRUE! Category nesting, file & folder nesting, and visual template editing are all on the list of changes that make the new MG a huge step ahead of its predecessor. It also marks an end to the time of supporting both PHP4 and PHP5. The time has come to end PHP4 support within MG. PHP5 is well developed now, and has some very useful new functions that the next version of MG will require. Stay tuned, because I expect to be launching the new Meteor Galleries within the next 2 weeks!

Ongoing: For the cost of a $24 per year, you can have a gallery hosted on meteorgalleries.com and maintained by MG's developer. For details, please email MG's developer via the contact form.

Meteor Galleries is FREE software, however it IS copyrighted, and we expect that copyright to be honored. Please read the terms in the license agreement before you install the software! Donations to the project will get you support for your version of the program. (Minimum donation is $24)

Why is this button on every page? Isn't it obvious we want you to donate? Yes. I think so.
