Meteor Galleries is an animation artwork gallery web application project.

Meteor Galleries is intended for use by those who collect animation artwork. It is designed to be as user-friendly as possible, while allowing more freedom than the traditional choices for maintaining a personal web site.

As many of my fellow collectors may well know, maintaining one's own gallery on a regular web site can be a rather daunting task. Updates are often extremely time-consuming and tedious, as thumbnail creation and HTML page writing takes a lot of time when you're adding a lot of artwork. Meteor Galleries seeks to simplify all of that, while allowing you to remain on your own web hosting with far more control over the look of your own site.

Meteor Galleries may not be for everyone. While I will strive to make it as easy to install and use as possible, some knowledge of web technologies is required. It is beneficial to have a pseudo-working knowledge of SQL and PHP, but I don't expect many users to have this. All that is really needed to create a template all your own, is a little HTML and CSS knowledge.
